Jazzercise Song for Barb (To the tune of “You are My Sunshine”) You are our sunshine, Our bouncy sunshine, You make us sweat, Barb, And fight off ills, You’ll never know Barb, How much we need you, And you sure beat taking pills!!! You Jazzercise us, and aerobicise us, You make us pump and work out right. You energize us, And exercise us, And we sleep so well each night!! So now you’ve moved us, to a brand new campus, and now our checkers greet us here. The hardwood floor makes this feel like the old place let’s raise our voices in cheer!! The Whisman Center, is mighty fine, Barb, With weights and water, We’ll be just fine, Add your lively music, and your lovely singing, oh…we left the disco ball behind!! We are a family, your great big family, our mother Barbie found a grand new place It’s new and cheerful, And like you, Barbara, It brings a smile to our face!! And so dear Barbara, Our cheer girl, Barbie, We gladly sing This song to you, For we are grateful So very thankful To have a leader like you!!! |

Daphne Wells
"One of the things we like about (Barb's) class is that she encourages us to be healthy, to fight diseases, and she talks about spirituality." "Instead of just saying go left and right, it's her banter that makes this class special." |

Debrah Emerson
"Thanks for making me a fighter," sang Debrah Emerson onstage at the Oct 2006 anniversary class, as she punched the air with attitude. Emerson is a colon cancer survivor and said the class was a great support network. She continued taking the class until the day before her surgery, a continuing student. |
